Be on the look out in Richmond for roving gangs of biker and mopeds. This weekend is, I believe, the fourth annual Slaughterama held by the cutthroats and Hell's Satan's "Fend for Yourself" rally. Hopefully in the coming days Ill have some pictures to post of some of the festivities.

Update
I'm so stoked on this video. I actually have a copy of this on cd. I'm pretty sure J. Mascis was playing drums for them at the time. Pretty sick.

Typical
Ahhh Richmond in the spring time. The short month and a half before the humidity rises to upwards of 100% and the temperature follows suit. I've been spending all day trying to keep myself from taking any more benadryl AND keep the door of the shop open so I can enjoy this wonderful weather while I blast Charles Bronson, Descendants, blah blah I like old hardcore, probably to the chagrin of our neighbors. I wish I had brought my bike up to Richmond today.

Soft Ball
I'm all for The 300 and for Gerard Butler getting the popularity he so deserves (who didnt cry at the end of Timeline?). But A REMAKE OF ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK?!?!?! Thats fucking bullshit. The early John Carpenter films are classics and should never be remade. They're perfect as they are. That's like remaking Hairspray and casting some closet case like Travolta to take Divines place, oh...

It's Like, Retarded.
Why is it still accepted to hear someone use "like" thirty of fourty times in a sentence. I realize that I am guilty of infractions every once and a while, but at least I am taking an active roll in trying to banish the use of "like" in the wrong context from my vocabulary. I refuse to believe that half the people I know are geniuses and that they're using really clever similies that I just dont understand. The biggest tradgedy is that I've noticed that when you substitute using like with something else that is actually proper it sounds weird. Thats what things have degenerated to, using correct english makes you seem weird even to yourself because we have all been engrained with such shitty language. So please, listen to yourself talk because most of the time you sound, like, retarded.

TeleVision to TeleFriend
Television is crazy right now. We all know reality television is huge these days, but with so many channels, its hard to find out what's really REALLY good. I occasionally take time to sit in front of the tube, but usually settle for some bullshit program because I'm too lazy to flip through the hundreds of channels directTV has to offer. But TV is today is different than it used to be. Seems like now there's a channel that caters to everyone's personal vices i.e. the DIY channel, Logo, NASAtv, GODtv, etc... With all these lame channels in the way, its hard to get to the good stuff. Luckily we have alternative options such as youtube, google video, and alluc.org to waste our valuable time on. In addition, the larger networks now allow you to stream your favorite programs whenever you want (at work, in class, etc.). Here are some programs I've been fucking with as of late.
MAN VS WILD
(i'll give you the first clip, you find the rest)
This show is about an ex-British Special Forces dude named Bear who puts himself in really shitty situations. For example: They drop this dude off in the middle of the desert with a canteen, a knife, and the clothes on his back. An hour later, after scaling canyons, peeing on his headwrap to fight off heat stroke, and drinking mud, he makes it back home. Highly educational and extremely eXXXtreme.
To Catch A Predator
(the videos are on the right)
Resident blogger extrordinaire WEB MASTER put me onto this awhile back. Dateline NBC's Chris Hansen, with the help of e-vigilantes Perverted Justice, find sexual predators online and brings them to justice one pedafile at a time. How? Its simple. Perverted Justice surfs the web, finds these creeps, pretends to be innocent teens looking to "have a good time," and invites these perverts over to a house rigged with cameras, a young actor/actress, Chris Hansen, and a swat team. You get the idea. This program offeres many life lessons and can make you laugh and cry at the same time. Its like a chick flick, but mo' real and mo' betta. I recommend watching this with your kids. Or maybe with that special someone when you're trying to get to third base.

TEAM KIMBO 305
KIMBO is a Miami, Florida-based underground street fighter. He has appeared in several bare-knuckle fights which have spread primarily on the Internet. Slice has also worked as a bodyguard for the pornographic VIP and MILF Hunter productions. Rolling Stone magazine has stated his age at 30 (in 2006) and called Slice "The King of the Web Brawlers". One of Slice's most notable fights was a September 2003 encounter with Sean Gannon, a Boston police officer who trains in Mixed martial arts (MMA). Gannon defeated Slice, but Slice's team argued during filming that Gannon cheated by using a guillotine choke as well as knee strikes, MMA moves they considered outside of the rules of a typical bareknuckle stand-up fight.
thereare about 5 more fights onlone

In Convenience
It is so hard to find any accessories for the Wii that its almost funny. I think it's hilarious that people made such a big deal out of the PS3 and wrote off the Wii and Nintendos production amounts and the way Nintendo charged enough to make money on selling the system to "having little faith in their product." Who's laughing now Sony? I went to Gamestop last night and they had plenty of PS3s in stock and not a single Wii accessory, and Nintendo produced way more stuff so there wouldn't be demand problems. Guess what? Yolk's on you.
Penny Arcade rules.
