TeleVision to TeleFriend

Television is crazy right now. We all know reality television is huge these days, but with so many channels, its hard to find out what's really REALLY good. I occasionally take time to sit in front of the tube, but usually settle for some bullshit program because I'm too lazy to flip through the hundreds of channels directTV has to offer. But TV is today is different than it used to be. Seems like now there's a channel that caters to everyone's personal vices i.e. the DIY channel, Logo, NASAtv, GODtv, etc... With all these lame channels in the way, its hard to get to the good stuff. Luckily we have alternative options such as youtube, google video, and alluc.org to waste our valuable time on. In addition, the larger networks now allow you to stream your favorite programs whenever you want (at work, in class, etc.). Here are some programs I've been fucking with as of late.

MAN VS WILD
(i'll give you the first clip, you find the rest)

This show is about an ex-British Special Forces dude named Bear who puts himself in really shitty situations. For example: They drop this dude off in the middle of the desert with a canteen, a knife, and the clothes on his back. An hour later, after scaling canyons, peeing on his headwrap to fight off heat stroke, and drinking mud, he makes it back home. Highly educational and extremely eXXXtreme.

To Catch A Predator
(the videos are on the right)

Resident blogger extrordinaire WEB MASTER put me onto this awhile back. Dateline NBC's Chris Hansen, with the help of e-vigilantes Perverted Justice, find sexual predators online and brings them to justice one pedafile at a time. How? Its simple. Perverted Justice surfs the web, finds these creeps, pretends to be innocent teens looking to "have a good time," and invites these perverts over to a house rigged with cameras, a young actor/actress, Chris Hansen, and a swat team. You get the idea. This program offeres many life lessons and can make you laugh and cry at the same time. Its like a chick flick, but mo' real and mo' betta. I recommend watching this with your kids. Or maybe with that special someone when you're trying to get to third base.
